The new Letters and Sounds six phase government teaching programme is designed to help teach children reading and spelling by developing their speaking and listening skills and teaching phonics. It focuses on developing the word recognition skills that are essential for children to decode and encode words accurately and emphasises the importance of using multi-sensory activities to do this.

Smart Kids have devised and selected even more new puzzles, games and activities to help you teach the new programme, including this new Phase One Kit. With resources from Phase One to Phase Six Smart Kids can help every step of the way.
